Dedicated to the NATURA 2000 Protected Areas of Crete was the TV Show DIRECT of the KRITI TV channel on January 24, 2018.

The Project Coordinator Dr. Michalis Probonas on behalf of the NHMC and the Coordinator of the Heraklion Bar Association Dr. Jorgos Sbokos, gave a brief answer to a number of questions about these areas.

What is their protection status, what their ecological, economic and social importance to Cretan society, what threats they accept, and what environmental crimes are most common not only in protected areas but also throughout the island.

The vice-governor of Region of Crete, responsible for the Environment, Mr. Nikos Kalogeris was also invited to the panel.
